A frank discussion of the Medicinal Herbs that we use.

The purpose of this site is to collect and pass on  as much accurate information as possible regarding the medicinal application of the herbs that we grow in our gardens.

We believe that if you grow your own medicine you become much more 'in tune' with what your body needs and what it tolerates.

You need to know the difference between good quality herb and the adulterated mulch that is frequently passed off as 'dried herb'.

Growing it, is the best way to learn.

Herbal and Homeopathic

We began growing herbs because we wanted to make our own homeopathic preparations. The greatest bulk of Homeopathic remedies are plant based and so we became gardeners.

Each of the pages of discussion include the Remedy picture associated with the plant as written by William Boericke, M.D. 

These excerpts from his Materia Medica are well balanced and have become the basis for most of the modern Materia's that are published today.

No information on this site is intended for any form of diagnosis or suggested treatments.

It is, quite simply, a list of the things that we have discovered either personally or through our continuing research, as self reliant individuals.

 

We have no books or DVD's to sell and no advertising on any of our sites, to keep it all  as easy and enjoyable to read as possible.

 

We have no affiliation with any herbal supplies companies or organisations and recommend only those Authors that have impressed us with their accuracy and candid originality.
